Overview
The ilumento i-PS18 is a versatile, intelligent Power Supply that can power and manage anything from a single room to a small system. With built-in Ethernet connectivity, the i-PS18 can be part of a larger system and connect to both on-prem or cloud-based monitoring and management solutions.
Power Data Bus Connectivity
By utilizing the Power Data Bus (PDB), installers can simplify their installation process, saving time and money by avoiding complex connections that clutter the cabinet. The PDB communication system transmits 24V DC power and data signals from the intelligent power supply. It provides an emergency Phase Loss trace for alerts and an additional trace for future use.
Ease of Installation
The i-PS18 easily clips onto the PDB350 and is mounted on the supplied 35x7.5 mm Din Rail for quick and straightforward installation. Power and low-voltage connections are kept separate, maintaining appropriate distances within the cabinet and allowing for easy disconnection with color-coded connectors.
Built-in Phase Loss Monitoring
The i-PS18 has built-in Phase Loss monitoring technology to simplify the installation of emergency systems. The PL monitor holds a relay open as long as there is power, but upon power loss, it will close a contact to the Power Data Bus to drive an emergency single across the PDB350 to any emergency power supplies or control modules.
USB connection
A USB-C connection is provided to allow programming via both wired connections and BLE radio and antenna for wireless communication.
Ethernet Connectivity
This product incorporates two critical security and management features: Ethernet security protocol SSL and Active Directory integration. Together, they provide a robust, user-friendly solution for protecting data and streamlining network access.
External Power connector
An external 24V DC power output provides external power to power devices like the i-DMX-2 Load Controller.
Processor
The i-PS18 incorporates an Arm Cortex-M33, MCU with 2-Mbyte Flash, 640-Kbyte RAM, and 250 MHz CPU to provide logic storage for up to 150 room or system devices. Up to 60 load controllers, 30 keypads, 40 sensors, 15 Device Interfaces, 5 IOs, and support up to 12 presets per unit. It also has a 15-event scheduler built in.
